Marluxia spent moments staring at Saix's face, a frown creasing his own features, before he finally closed his eyes and turned his head away to stare at the stark white wall beside him. He was quiet for a long while, trying to think it all over. He knew that what happened, happened and no amount of resistance or preparation could guard anyone from it. If you were fated to fall before your enemy, then it would be so, even if you should make amends with them. But at the same token, he worried that this facade of immortality they had been given from rising again was naught more than what it was: A farse. There was the chance that they would not rise again the next time, that the darkness and cold of those waters would swallow them whole and leave their hearts to wander as they deteriorated with the darkness that consumed them.
"I apologize, Saix... I do not mean to be harsh in this matter... I just worry. There is no guarantee of a third of forth chance and furthermore... no promise that we will not be weaker should we be given the chance again..." His fist tightened, knuckles growing white but he could hardly feel the pressure let alone the pain. "If you lack belief in yourself so much that you can't promise, in truth, to at least keep yourself alive... Then... it's more likely then not you will not return alive." He paused another moment before looking back, "If that is how it is to be... Then I will accompany you. I'd rather risk dying in your stead and knowing you're alive than sit by idly and wait for your return like some princess in a castle."
