<Ecomics21> The King had spent the whole day sticking to the shadows of this wretched castle that shouldn't exist. It was time to act, he needed to know why they had returned and what there motives are now. Mickey pulled his hood up and made a run into the lighted area to look for some sort of library or information hold.
<BlindTaleTeller> Xaldin was newly returned, himself. He had just finished making some sense of his room, and in the process had found a few items that didn't belong. Among them were a few books he had been looking through for Saix, taken from teh library. He was still wearing his civilian clothes, having come fresh from Traverse Town, in a gothic mood. Fit leather pants, his old combat boots, and a second skin dragon-print mesh long sleeve that came down over his knuckles. He was flipping through the pages of one of the books, reading glasses on, when one of the Dragoons he posted in the halls suddenly popped up tittering and directing him to hurry up around the corner. Mostly, he was looking for something taller when he turned it, but his element directed him to the lower born breaths. " Those ears, are immistakable. " Came as his only greeting for the moment.
<Ecomics21> The King sighed as once again he fell upon the eyes of his enemy. "So, it is you Dilan?" Mickey smilied as he saw his old friend's nobody stand before him. Now the only problem was getting around him to get his information.
<BlindTaleTeller> Xaldin shook his head. " Why is it, that people from my previous life continue to insist that Dilan still exists. " He tipped his weight to one side, pulling his glasses down. " Dilan died in Radiant Garden, along with the name for that world. You of all people should be aware of that. I am Xaldin. Something else you should be more than aware of by now, given our last encounter at Beast's Castle. "
<Ecomics21> Mickey sighed, "You may say you don't have hearts...but I can still see the previous Dilan in there, and he still exists." Mickey shrugged as he pulled his hood down. "Anway, I'm purely here to gather information, not to cause anyone harm."
<BlindTaleTeller> Xaldin's eyes narrowed in warning none the less. He was, incredibly protective of the other members, and well aware of what the King brandished. " You had best not be. " Summoning up two Dragoons, they appeared behind him, and two more behind Mickey. They idled though, as if awaiting instrustion, acting as an escort. He started forward towards him, no signs of agression other than the somewhat irritated expression he wore. " One of ours is still in pain from the affects of your last visit. He hasn't been able to return home for extended periods now for a year. " Looking down to him as he came closer, a brow twitched ever so slightly. " However. We, have no other issue with you. Nor do we want any interferance in our work. So long as you don't stick that little black nose into anything sensitive, I don't see teh harm in escorting you. Otherwise.. I don't recommend poking it randomly into certain places. "
<Ecomics21> The king looked unthreatened by the feeble dragoons behind him. "I only came to know three things. How did the Organization return? What are your Motives? and what is this I'm hearing about a weapon that collects hearts being sold to the universe?" The looked especially uneasy with the last question.
20:35:55 <BlindTaleTeller> Xaldin nodded him along, he had to go to the library anyway, and the travel would give him time to likewise figure out the King. " Mm. Our motives are exactly the same as what I told you and Sora in Beast's Castle: to exist fully, and completely. " He turned to him somewhat along the way with that. " Well.. for most of us. There are a few among the number who might not have interest in it any longer, if it means becoming as ignorant as Sora. Granted, he was a special case, as one of the keyblade bearers.. but. Many of us have garnered attachments to our new ... lives. " He chuckled softly, a wide and uneven smirk. Something was funny to him about that. " Kingdom Hearts clearly was not the way for us, if that's your concern. We're searching for other ways. " He paused at a cross way to look to him. " For how we returned.. even we aren't sure of the technicalities. My suspicion is, that it is likely because we are only one portion of the whole: and that, so long as one broken half exists, so then does the other, until they're repaired. Elsewise, I am not about to retell the story of my re-rising to you, given teh sensitivity of such things. " And he continued on towards the library. " But.. weapon? I don't know anything about a weapon.. but I do know about the Holding Heart, Dahlia.. and the Combler Orbs. Is that what you're referring to? "
20:41:23 <Ecomics21> "That's sounds like it, I overheard a traveler talk about it." Mickey followed him to the library. It was clear to him that this weapon could be a threat to the balance.
20:53:21 <BlindTaleTeller> " Ah. "a deeper chuckle, he stopped at the library door and turned to him, coming down a little as he pulled a small velvet bag from between the book and chest. He had no issue showing the orb he had traded his blood for: a dark violet crystalline globe just bige neough to fit securely in his hand, about the size of his fist. The center glowed ever so mildly with a black pulsating star. After a second or two, he put it back between the book and his chest. " Combler Orbs, are not weapons. They collect the hearts of defeated heartless. Meaning.. you have to hunt in order to fill them. In other words, they are only containers, as far as we know. However, as we didn't develop them, I can't say for certain that they don't have any other purpose. " Standing again his eyes stayed on the mouse. " They were developed by one of DiZ's other apprentices. She apparently was briefly his apprentice after our fall. I don't know terribly much about her otherwise, but Dahlia has been selling a locked version of the orbs to the masses. With Sora out of sorts, we needed a way to collect hearts to bring Saix back to his full health. DiZ's attack greatly affected him.. to the point we have become worried his life might be in danger. For now, that, is teh only reason why we hunt heartless: and why the Combler Orbs are so important. " A brief pause, and he raised a brow. " Frankly, I'm somewhat surprised you see them as a threat or weapon.. if not amused. Used properly, the heartless can be dealt with by anyone now.. whether they have a keyblade, or not. Rather than them sinply cropping up again and again and again after being blown back. "
21:00:44 <Ecomics21> The King sighed, "Yes, a world without heartless would be nice but then that would cause a chaos all its own." The mouse took a breif pause to recollect his thoughts. "If the balance between light and darkness is tilted in either direction whether that be too much light or too much dark, the universe as we know it will crumble." Mickey then looked at Xaldin, "It seems that as long as you are using the hearts to revive your comerade I cannot intervene, but if I sense even the slighteset whiff of Kingdom Hearts around here...then I'm afraid history is bound to repeat itself." Mickey turned and looked down upon the city through an open window. "Where is this Dahlia person?"
21:04:18 <BlindTaleTeller> Xaldin shook his head; not really caring either way for his warnings. The Organization would do what it deemed neccessary, as usual. His eyes followed Mickey's though. " Traverse Town. Her shop is located underground, between the Second and Third Districts. She's taken up Merlin's old house there. She has an assistant moogle that goes by the name Kupot as well. " He was tempted to warn him about the more recent sightings, but for the moment decided against it.
21:21:54 <Ecomics21> "Thank you my old friend, but alas I must make haste again...to Traverse Town to get to the bottom of this." Mickey pulled out a remote and pressed the switch, and just as quickly his gummi ship was floating outside the window. "I wish you luck with your friend", The King smiled as he opened the window and jumped itno his vessel. His next destination was definately going to answer the questions he has been asking himself.
21:27:39 <BlindTaleTeller> The third nodded, half turned towards the door again as the King summoned his gummi. " Be more careful where you summon those. Traverse Town has docking laws now.. make certain you register with a moogle properly. " In part, due to Setzer, he thought. He didn't move until the King was away and gone. He didn't trust him, and he wasn't about to tell him Ansem had been spotted where he was headed. A small thing, but the Lancer still did hold soem small grudge for being beaten down at the Castle, whether it was over a year ago or not. He looked to the dragoons when he was gone. " You lot are to be much more observant from here on. If you see him, stay out of sight but report to me, and Xemnas. Be sure to keep him out of the labs. " With that, he went to return his book...
