For the last few weeks, perhaps months, Namine had not been anywhere near the castle, she hadn't seen any of the organization and Zexion had kept his word about bringing no attraction to her; over that period of time, she had changed.
She was still shy, still meek and mild but her mind had toughened up, she had explored many wonderous locations and seen the wonders and in the middle of all of the beauty she had thought of her favourite beauty of all. The one who started off this cynical way of thinking, who made her innocent, seemingly naive ways change.
She missed him. She missed him when he wasn't in the castle, when he wasn't eating icecream with her and he had made her so angry when he brought up the hurt and the pain she had tried her best to mask. It was gone now, the mask couldn't be held together any longer.
In the moonlight she sat, drawing, she heard news about their new ways to harvest hearts, it worried her but it wasn't her buisness.
She still couldn't forgive herself for being a pawn, she couldn't forgive her weakness and the worst part was, even the boy who she had become obsessed with drawing, it seemed he didn't even care anymore and if he couldn't at least care, no one could.
Over time she had become needy and childish, being coddled did that and after breaking free she had become cold.
The dog who had become her companion had brought a warmth however, he followed her wherever, got rid of heartless and kept her out of harms way. He sat at her feet as she drew and looked at the piece of sketchbook, the small piece of the picture she had drawn of Roxas' face asleep, that small spike, it was gone and try as she might she couldn't re-draw or replace it.
The stars in the night sky seemed to be mocking her almost, mocking her at being all alone in the world, with a fear to go back and patch things up.
